Slow Outlook 2013 :( Fixed :)

If you are pulling your hair out waiting for Outlook to load after upgrading to Outlook 2013, follow these steps:

Affects Systems with Apple iTunes or Apple utilities loaded on their Windows based system

Here is a simple solution if you are not using the utility from Apple – mobile me services:

Quick fix:

  1. Preferably reboot your computer and don’t load Outlook or any other Microsoft Office Program.
  2. Uninstall mobilemeservice.exe
  3. Restart Windows
  4. Start Outlook,
  5. This should now work. If it does not work, proceed with the Long Fix

Long Fix:

  1. Preferably reboot your computer and don’t load Outlook or any other Microsoft Office Program.
  2. Uninstall iTunes (>Control Panel>Uninstall a Program)
  3. Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support
  4. Uninstall Apple Application Support
  5. Uninstall mobilemeservice.exe
  6. Uninstall Apple Bonjour Service – if present
  7. Restart Windows
  8. Reinstall iTunes (It will reinstall also Apple Mobile Device Support, Application Support and Bonjour Services)
  9. Start Outlook,
  10. This should now work.
